NFL Power Rankings: Week 12
The Titans are 10-0 and survived last week after being down early at Jacksonville. Another gutsy win for the best team in football.
The New York Giants took care of business last week against a Ravens team that many thought would put up a fight. It looks like the defending champs are still at the top of their game. This week the Giants are 3 point favorites at Arizona.
When the Carolina Panthers win, it isn’t pretty, but they just keep finding ways to come out on top.
Against Minnesota last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers showed their still one of the best defensive teams in the NFL.
I was one of the doubters of the New York Jets. After their win against New England last week, consider me converted.
The Steelers are 7-3 with 6 games remaining. One stretch has them playing at New England, back home against Dallas, at Baltimore, then at Tennessee. Pittsburgh will find out what kind of a team they really are if they can walk away from that stretch with more than 2 wins.
The Arizona Cardinals can clinch the NFC West if they can knock off the Giants this week. Even if they don’t, it’s just a matter of time before they lock up the division.
The Colts have officially been “back” for three weeks now, but are they back to stay?
The loss to the Jets last week hurt the Patriots, but they are still playing well without their best player.
Washington has dropped two straight and they still have some difficult games ahead. This week they are at Seattle, who has been dreadful, but there’s no such thing as an easy road win in the NFL.
Romo is back! Romo is back! The Cowboys got what they needed, a few more wins and they could be playoff-bound.
The Ravens were flying high after winning 4 straight, but the Giants took the wind out of their sails pretty quickly last week.
The Miami Dolphins just won their fourth game in a row. Don’t look now, but the ‘Phins might go from the worst team in the league last year to the playoffs this year. The Dolphins are a 1.5 point favorite in Miami against New England this week.
The Atlanta Falcons are still the best story in the NFL this year. A home loss to Denver hurt last week. We’ll see if they can get back on the Cinderella track this week as the Panthers come to town.
The Denver Broncos got a big road win against Atlanta last week. They are now in great position to win their division, which really isn’t saying much by the looks of it.
Don’t the Philadelphia Eagles always seem like they have too much talent to be mediocre? I’d say that’s the case again this year.
What happened to the Buffalo Bills? They are now 0-3 in the AFC East and 5-5 overall. Things will have to turn around fast, the playoffs are drifting away.
The Packers are technically leading the NFC East and probably have the easiest path to snag a playoff spot between the three 5-5 teams in the division.
The Vikings still have a great defense, but their offense will keep them from making a run at the NFC North.
