Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals Odds
The Cincinnati Bengals (9-6) will be trying to clinch a playoff spot when they host the Baltimore Ravens (11-4) Sunday.
The Bengals are currently a two-point underdog with the total set at 38.
Cincinnati, who defeated the Arizona Cardinals 23-16 last week, can clinch the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs with a win. It can also reach the playoffs if the New York Jets lose and either the Oakland Raiders or Denver Broncos lose as well.
It’s safe to say the Bengals wouldn’t be in position to make the postseason if it weren’t for the solid play of rookie quarterback Andy Dalton, who completed 18 of 31 passes for 154 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions against the Cardinals. Five completions, including a touchdown pass, went to Jermaine Gresham, who led the team with 56 receiving yards.
Cedric Benson led the way on the ground with 57 of the team’s 165 rushing yards.
The Baltimore Ravens, who enter Week 17 off a 20-14 win over the Cleveland Browns, still have a shot at the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They can earn that seed and secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win and a loss by the New England Patriots.
Joe Flacco completed 11 of 24 throws for 132 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against the Browns.
One of those touchdowns was hauled in by Ray Rice, who led the team with three receptions and 48 receiving yards. Rice also led the ground attack with 87 of the team’s 162 rushing yards.
The Bengals have won nine of the last 14 in this series, but the Ravens have won the last two, including a 31-24 win on Nov. 20.
The Ravens, who are 3-4 straight up and against the spread on the road this season, haven’t covered the number against Cincinnati since 2008. They are 0-4-1 against the spread in the last five matchups.
It is also worth noting that the Bengals are 12-3-1 against the spread in their last 16 games as an underdog of three points or less.
As far as the total is concerned, the under has been the play. These two have finished under the number in four of the last five meetings.
