New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys Odds

The NFL odds on the Saints Cowboys broken down by the expert handicapper Jimmy Boyd. The surprising 8-4 Saints head to Dallas after back-to-back blowout wins to take on the 8-4 Cowboys this Sunday Night. There isn’t a hotter team in the NFL right now than the Dallas Cowboys who have won four straight. This game features two of the hottest quarterback’s in the league right now. Will it be Brees and the Saints or Romo and the Cowboys cashing in on Sunday Night Football? Jimmy Boyd knows and you can too by signing up for his NFL expert picks!

Through various scenarios, the winner of this game can clinch a playoff spot. That’s big news for both teams as Parcells has underachieved in Dallas by the standards of America’s Team and the Saints have got the job done with a first-year head coach just one year after the hurricane disaster.

Payton was Parcells former offensive assistant from 2003-05. What a huge win it would be for him to beat his former mentor. We could pit this game as a battle of the coaches-Payton versus his former mentor. But this matchup will have very little to do with coaching. This one will be decided by which top rated quarterback can get their offense in the end zone. New Orleans has the better offense; Dallas has the better defense. Who wins?

The Saints have the number one ranked offense in the NFL averaging 400.2 yards per game and they also have the top ranked passing offense led by Drew Brees who is the league-leader in passing yards this season. Dallas has the fourth ranked offense in the NFL at 375.6 yards per game and Tony Romo is the league’s top rated passer with a QB rating of 102.4. The Cowboys defense has been improving, but it gave up 20 points for the first time in three weeks against the Giants in week 13. 20 points has been chump change for the Saints the past couple weeks who have scored 31 and 34 points respectively in consecutive victories. Dallas is very good against the run allowing just 90.3 yards per game so I definitely don’t expect Bush or McAllister to have a career day on the ground. The Saints will be better served to use Bush as a receiver in this one moving him around the field. If Dallas’ is going to get beat, it will be through the air.

The play calling has got a lot more liberal since Romo settled in under center, but Parcells has to be tempted to grind it out when facing the league’s 21st ranked rushing defense allowing 133.1 yards per game. The Saints know that they can’t give up the run, so they will let Tony Romo be the one who beats them this week. New Orleans is pretty solid against the pass allowing just 180.3 yards per game through the air so that’s the matchup the Saints want. They’ll look to challenge the youngster nearly every play.

The linemaker’s have made New Orleans 7-point underdogs for this Sunday night’s NFL betting matchup. Can Brees and the offense keep rolling against a more solid defense than they’ve seen in several weeks or will Romo lead the Cowboys to another big win at home. I have covered every angle of Sunday night’s matchup and I haven’t felt more confident in a primetime Sunday Night Football game all season. That’s why I’m making this one my Sunday Night Game of the Year. Make sure you’re playing the biggest Sunday night affair of the season with the world’s hottest handicapper.
