San Diego Chargers Super Bowl Odds

We think some of you might find some value in the San Diego Chargers Super Bowl odds listed below.  This team went 14-2 last year before losing a close game to the New England Patriots in the playoffs, and they got off to a rough start to start the 2007 season.  However, things have drastically turned around and even though this team is hot, many people have forgotten just how good the Chargers are.  We haven't, and that's why they have been so valuable to have in your NFL picks every week.  If you want to win more money with your NFL betting to close out this season, then get signed up for our premium package today.

San Diego got by 17-6 in their first round playoff game against the Tennessee Titans, despite being down 0-6 at halftime.  The thing that surprised us the most about this game was how Philip Rivers played.  Rivers was 19-for-30 for 292 yards, and threw one touchdown to go with one interception.  He did this despite some added pressure on his shoulders when Antonio Gates left the game in the first half with an injury.  One thing that has to concern Charger fans is how poorly they ran the ball against Tennessee.  LaDainian Tomlinson never seemed to get it going in carrying the ball 21 times for only 42 yards, but he did find the end zone once.  Michael Turner couldn't do much better, gaining 28 yards on nine carries.  Chris Chambers did a nice job of giving Rivers a big target in Gates's absence, grabbing six balls for 121 yards.  Vincent Jackson also played well with five receptions and 114 yards, including a touchdown.  Tomlinson also didn't get involved much in the passing game, since the Titans were putting pressure on Rivers and he had to stay back and block.  He ended the game with three catches for 19 yards.

Defensively the team was fairly impressive in keeping the Titans out of the end zone, but it's not like Tennessee is a real offensive powerhouse like they are going to see in Indianapolis this weekend.  However, Shaun Phillips, Shawne Merriman, Clinton Hart, Quentin Jammer, Luis Castillo, and Stephen Cooper all had big games racking up tackles.  It seemed like San Diego did a good job of defending both the run and the pass, and while the rushing yards for Tennessee weren't bad, this is one of the best rushing teams in the league.

We really like how San Diego is playing right now, but they are big underdogs this week against the Colts and figure to be big underdogs again against the Patriots if they win.  However, we like the value that you could get with this team and might be willing to lay a wager in order to get 14 times the return on this team winning the Super Bowl.
