Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys NFL Odds & Picks

Tony Romo is back and so are the Cowboys. Since his return Dallas has won two straight to improve to 7-4 on the season and once again looks like a contender in the NFC. The Cowboys looked like themselves once again last week when they buried the 49ers 35-22 and now they will look to turn around just four days later and do the same thing to the Seahawks on Thanksgiving Day. Seattle has been very competitive against good football team each of the past three weeks losing by a combined 11 points in those games, including a three-point loss to the Washington Redskins last week. Dallas was hoping from a little help from Seattle against its division rivals, which are currently tied with the Cowboys for second place in the East. Dallas will have to take matters into its own hands this week as it continues its playoffs quest. Odds makers anticipate the Cowboys doing just that and have listed Dallas as 12.5-point home favorites with the total set at 47.
With Romo under center, the Cowboys once again have an offense capable of putting up big numbers. Last week Romo was 23 of 39 for 341 yards and three touchdowns as Dallas reached its second highest point total of the season. Wide receiver Terrell Owens has really struggled without Romo in the lineup, but he broke out in a big way last week with seven grabs for 213 yards. It was his biggest day as a Dallas Cowboys and it showed that he can still be a big time threat for Dallas. There’s little doubt that the Cowboys should be able to score against a Seahawks defense that is allowing 26.2 ppg on the road this season, but Dallas is going to have to show that its defense can be better, particularly against the pass. Dallas allowed 49ers QB Shaun Hill to throw for 303 yards and they will be facing a Pro Bowl QB in Matt Hasselbeck this week. Dallas’ defense has been far from sensational as injuries have really taken their toll. The Cowboys are allowing 23.2 ppg at home this season. While they have been very tough on the run, giving up just 75 ypg at home, they have been susceptible to the pass and particularly to big plays. Off one of Hasselbeck’s worst games as a pro, you can bet that he’ll come storming back this week. If you like the Dallas offense to outscore another NFC West opponent this week, bet the Cowboys at -12.5 at BetUS and receive up to a 50% sign up bonus.
Hasselbeck completed just 12 of 24 passes for only 103 yards and threw a key interception which cost the Seahawks the game. The good news is, that at 2-9, Seattle has nothing to lose and the three-time Pro Bowl QB has an opportunity to go after a weakened Dallas secondary this week. These Seattle boys are not used to losing and I don’t expect them to lay down but it doesn’t appear to get much easier for the Seahawks the rest of the way out. They play New England and the Jets in two of their last three games which leaves a December 14th date with the Rams as its best shot to pick up another win. While Seattle is 1-4 on the road this season, it is 3-2 in those games. If you think odds makers have undervalued Seattle this week, bet the Seahawks at +12.5 at BetUS.
