Super Bowl Party

Super Bowl Sunday
isn’t just about watching the biggest game of the year;
it’s about having fun with family and friends. All
Super Bowl party hosts out there may want to take
note of some Super Bowl party games I have cooked up
that you guys might find some fun. After all, what are
you going to do during the long pre-game and two hour
half time show?
If you have some athletes in your crew or some old
has-beens who still think they can still sling the
pigskin like Tom Brady, you may just want to have a
pre-Super Bowl football game. Make one team the Giants
and the other the Pats. Losers supply the beer at your
Super Bowl bash.
Chances are, you and your buddies will be going back and
forth everyday leading up to the big game about who’s
going to win. Settle the score once and for all with
some friendly wagering. Make a list of multiple wagers
such as the straight up winner, point spread winner, and
total winner. You could bring prop bets into the
equation as well. Whoever wins the most wagers on your
ticket takes home bragging rights and whatever cash you
pooled in. Don’t tell your buddies you’re playing
Jimmy’s Super Bowl
picks.
If you’re planning on calling in sick Monday or are a
pro at roughing it, drinking games always add to the
excitement of Super Bowl Sunday. A game of “flippy-cup”
is always a good way to go. Line up fans of each team on
each side of a table. Fill your keg cups up with beer to
the specified amount. Chug and flip your cup until it is
fixed upside down. You know how it goes. Another
drinking game is to have a key word that can’t be said
like a player’s name or term such as “field goal.” Any
time the word or words are said, you drink. It’s fun to
trick people into saying the words.
I guess this is the technology age. A Madden showdown
between the two Super Bowl contenders is always fun
before the game. Nintendo Wii bowling, tennis, etc. are
also fun activities for your adrenaline to feed on.
Everybody knows a Super Bowl party is more enjoyable
when the wives are involved and having fun. How about
having a wing ding contest for the wives? Whoever makes
the best hot wings gets bragging rights. A cookie
contests sounds good too! Be sure to pay plenty of
compliments to each participant.
A little Texas Hold ‘em, or whatever your favorite
brand, is another great way to get through the pre-game
and half time shows. Strip poker with the ladies if
you’re lucky.
Happy Super Bowl parties to all.
