Super Bowl Predictions for Brandon JacobsEven though it seems like a lot more attention is being drawn to the New England Patriots offense, we cover all of the bases for bettors out there who are interest in Super Bowl props. If you want to bet on the Giants running game then first read this article from Jimmy Boyd on his Super Bowl predictions for Brandon Jacobs. We have listed the props below from some of the top sportsbooks you will find online, and we have given our short takes on how we think the action is going to play out. Remember that if you want our breakdown of the side and total for this year's game then all you have to do is get signed up for our Super Bowl picks package. We have dominated the NFL all season long and we are going to continue to do so for the final game. First Rush Attempt: Over/Under 3.5 Jacobs averaged 4.7 yards per carry on the season, and only got better during the second half. The Patriots allowed 4.4 yards per carry during the regular season and even though they have held opponents to just 3.6 ypc in the playoffs that doesn't mean that we are shying away from the OVER here. After all, against San Diego LT was hurt and hardly played. The defense will be a little over anxious at the beginning of the game, and we think that will leave some room for Jacobs to bowl over some defenders. Total Rushing Yards: Over/Under 62.5 I'm not entirely sure why this over is set so low except for the fact that Ahmad Bradshaw has done so well in recent games. Over the course of the season though Jacobs averaged 83.3 yards per game. It's not like the Patriots defense is especially tough against the run, even though they did do a good job against the Jacksonville Jaguars and San Diego Chargers. The team did allow almost 100 ypg during the regular season, so even if Bradshaw gets his share we still feel like this one is going OVER. Total Rush Attempts: Over/Under 15.5 Longest Rush Over/Under 12.5 Total Receiving Yards: Over/Under 12.5 Total Pass Receptions: Over 1 -200/Under 1 +150 If there is a prop that we love on Jacobs, it's this one. I don't know what we are missing and why the odds makers didn't bump this up a little bit, but we are going to be pounding the OVER for this one. It almost seems too easy with the fact that Jacobs has caught a pass in every game dating back the last three months and he's caught more than one in seven of the last 11 games. The percentage on him catching more than one pass is at 64% if you look at the history and yet the over/under is set at a number he's consistently reached and hasn't failed to get to since October. Come on, don't pass up on this easy winner. Yards on First Reception: Over/Under 5.5 Longest Pass Reception: Over/Under 8.5 I don't know about the longest pass, since Jacobs averages 7.5 yards per catch and will likely get anywhere from 1-3. However, the fact that he gains so many yards per grab does have us liking the OVER on the yards on his first reception, and the OVER on the total for the receiving yards per game. We don't necessarily feel as comfortable with these two as the prop on total catches, but still it's worth a small play if you are looking to pick up some easy money on the Giants player props.
