Super Bowl Predictions for Eli Manning

Eli Manning’s improved play is a big reason why the New York Giants have landed themselves in the Super Bowl. I have taken a look at these Eli Manning Super Bowl predictions below to give you some more insight into how he might do in the big game. This series of Eli Manning Super Bowl prop wagers can be found at Bodog Sportsbook if you’re looking for additional action to your Super Bowl side and total bets.

Eli Manning - Total Pass Attempts - Over/Under 34.5

Eli averaged 33 attempts per game on the season and threw it 32 times in the Giants week 17 loss against the Patriots. New York is going to have to be able to run the football to be successful against New England and that’s exactly what they’ll try to do. Eli is averaging 28.3 pass attempts per game in the postseason and I’ll take the Under here.

Eli Manning - Total Pass Completions - Over/Under 21.5

Eli averaged 18.6 completions per game during the regular season and he is averaging just 17.6 in the playoffs. He has only gone over this number of completions 5 times all season. We’ll play the percentages here.

Eli Manning - Total Passing Yards – Over/Under 225.5

Eli averaged 208.5 yards per game in the regular season. He did throw for 251 in the week 17 showdown with New England, but his claim to fame has been taking care of the football to eliminate mistakes in the postseason. I’ll take the Under in this one.

Eli Manning - Total Rushing Yards - Over/Under 2.5

Manning escapability has improved drastically from when he first came into the league, but he isn’t a guy which looks to run when he is outside the pocket. If he gets sacked once or twice a 4 or 5 yard scramble doesn’t make it to this number. I’m taking the Under.

Eli Manning - First Pass of the game will be?

Complete 1/2
Incomplete 8/5
Throw an Interception 8/1

I’m sure Eli will have some Super Bowl jitters, but the guy has been so good at taking what the defense gives him and his accuracy has continue to improve throughout the playoffs. I think Eli completes his first ball.

What will happen first for Eli Manning?

Throw a TD Pass -145
Throw an Interception +115

Manning has learned to really value the football and has not thrown an interception in the playoffs. I think the Pats will get one from him at some point during the game, but I think Eli gets it in the end zone first because of how good he has been at making the right decision.

Eli Manning - Longest Completion – Over/Under 35.5

I’m going to take the Under here. Eli has made his name in the postseason by not forcing balls. Many times big plays happen by QB’s forcing plays down the field. I don’t see Eli doing this as he knows how important it is for him to not turn it over.

Will Eli Manning throw an interception?

Yes -220
No +180

The value isn’t in our favor here, but I have to say yes to this question. I think he will only throw one. The Pats picked him once in the week 17 meeting. They give QBs too many different looks to leave a game unscathed.
