Plaxico Burress - Total Receiving Yards – Over/Under 75.5

Burress only averaged 64.1 yards per game over the course of the regular season. He was very quiet in the first two rounds of the playoffs with just 43 total yards, but he turned it on in the NFC Championship game with 11 catches for 151 yards. Plax has spouted his mouth off which means he is going to have to come out extra tough to back up his words. He has shown that he can play big in big games. He came up with 84 receiving yards in the week 17 battle and I think we’ll see a similar result from him here. Take the Over.

Plaxico Burress - Total Pass Receptions – Over/Under 5

I'll take the over here. Burress had four receptions against the Pats in week 17, but he was a beast in the NFC title game. He had 11 catches against the Packers against a Pro Bowl corner. Burress has seen the Pats in two AFC Championship games when he was with the Steelers so he is no stranger to what they want to do defensively. His big play ability burned them in that week 17 meeting. The Pats will try to take away those big plays by giving up the underneath stuff. Eli and the Giants have done a great job of taking what the defense has given them. I think New England's defensive strategy will result in one of New York's best playmakers catching at least 6 balls.

Plaxico Burress - Total Receiving Yards on First Reception – Over/Under 10.5

I’m going to take the Over here. Plax is a big strong receiver and I think he’ll still be able to get off the ball if the Pats try to jam him. He is a big play guy. He averaged nearly 15 yards per reception during the regular season and I like his first grab to go for at least 11.

Plaxico Burress - Longest Reception - Over/Under 23.5

I feel like the oddsmakers have set this line a little low with the thinking that New England isn’t going to give up any big plays to him after giving up a 52 yarder in week 17. Plax runs that sideline fade route well and can out jump any New England defensive back. I think he gets one over this number, but New England won’t get burned for another 30+ yarder.
