Super Bowl Predictions for Randy Moss

Sports Betting at the Sportsbook

Randy Moss is one of the marquee names featured in Super Bowl XLII and was the runner up to his teammate, Tom Brady, in the league’s MVP voting. This Randy Moss Super Bowl predictions article takes a look at how we think he will do in the big game.

Randy Moss - Total Receiving Yards – Over/Under 93.5

Moss went for 100 yards in the week 17 meeting and got most of those on a long 65 yard bomb. The Giants are going to be paying special attention to him not wanting to give up another big play. We’ll take the Under here.

Randy Moss - Total Pass Receptions – Over/Under 5.5

Moss caught 6 balls in the first meeting with the Giants and I think he gets at least that many here. Expect Moss to break off more of his routes and look for more underneath stuff as the Giants take away the big play with a safety over the top. He has been quiet in the postseason with just two catches, but big players tend to come up big in big games.

Randy Moss - Total Receiving Yards on First Reception – Over/Under 11.5

This is a tough one to call. Moss averaged 15.2 yards per catch during the regular season and doesn’t run a lot of routes fewer than 12 yards. I think his first reception will go for 12 or more because of that.

Randy Moss - Longest Reception Over/Under 35.5

I know that Moss is the king of the deep ball and that the Pats will try it, but I think they come up empty handed on those attempts as the Giants will be trying to make the other guys beat them. Moss’ longest catch was just 14 yards in the Divisional game with the Jags and 18 yards in the Conference Title game with San Diego.

Randy Moss - Total Receiving Yards will be an Odd Number/Even Number

Let’s take turns and flip a coin here. He ended with 9 odd numbered receiving performance in the regular season so I guess I’ll go with that.

Will Randy Moss score 2 or more Touchdowns?

Yes +200
No -300

The odds are terrible here, but I have to go with the No. I think Moss will be more of a possession receiver in this game in order for him to get more touches. I can see him getting one TD on a fade route, but not two. Keep in mind that he has scored two or more 8 times this season, but he hasn’t scored in the playoffs. Again, he got two against the Giants the first time around and they surely won’t make those mistakes again.

Randy Moss score a Touchdown in the 1st Half?

Yes +110
No -140

I’ll play the value here and say yes. This one is really just a coin flip.
