Super Bowl RecipesMake your Super Bowl shin-dig a hit with a variety of dips and finger foods. No sporting event, and especially the biggest game of the year, can be complete without Buffalo Wings. What you'll need: 6 tablespoons butter or margarine 1/4 cup hot red pepper sauce chicken wings, disjointed with tips discarded Vegetable oil, for fryingPreparation: Melt butter in a small sauce pan. Add hot sauce and remove from the heat. Set aside. In large frying pan or deep-fat fryer, heat 1-inch of oil to 360*F (180*C). Fry wings in batches, without crowding, for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Brush wings with spicy butter mixture and serve warm, with blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping
You can have excellent black bean dip to appease your taste buds in no time at
all. What you'll need: 1 can seasoned black beans (Ranch Style) 2 green onions Fried mushrooms are also an unbelievably easy and tasty treat that'll go so fast you'll have to make another batch. What you'll need: 10 ounces fresh white mushrooms, wiped clean 1 cup flour ½ cup cornstarch ¾ teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt 1 cup water 2 cups bread crumbs Preparation: Mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add water to make a batter. Dip clean mushroom into batter letting excess batter drip off. After dipping into batter roll in breadcrumbs to coat. Deep fry in oil until golden. Suggested to serve with cocktail sauce. Here's another dip that you won't be able to stop dipping into
all game long. I suggest putting that post holiday diet on hold and
enjoying this Super Bowl favorite Onion and Spinach dip. What you'll
need: 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil Preparation: Heat oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderately
high heat until hot but not smoking. Sauté onion and shallots,
stirring, until lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Reduce heat to
moderate and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until
softened, about 8 minutes more. Add spinach and cook, stirring, just
until wilted, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Transfer spinach mixture to a bowl, then stir in cream cheese, sour
cream, salt, and pepper until combined well. Chill, covered, at
least 1 hour.
