That injury opened the door for Yushin Okami to be involved in the main event. The other three fights on the main card are Forrest Griffin v. Hector Ramirez, Tyson Griffin taking on Clay Guida, and Jason MacDonald against Rory Singer. Franklin is 32 years old and now has a record of 21-2-1 with 11 knockouts and 9 submission victories. He has defeated some of the biggest names in MMA such as Lyoto Machida, Evan Tanner, Jorge Rivera, David Loiseau, and Ken Shamrock. His last loss came after returning to the ring from a seven-month abscence due to a broken left hand back in October of 2006. Silva broke Franklin's nose and Rich had to undergo surgery to repair himself before returning to beat Jason "The Athlete" Macdonald by TKO back on March 3rd. Okami is relatively young at 26 and stands at 20-3 with 7 knockouts and 3 submission wins. His last win was an impressive one against Mike Swick at UFC 69 in Swick's hometown of Houston, Texas. That win brought Okami to 4-0 in the UFC with six straight wins in all organizations. This guy is still a relatively unknown and could show some good value in this fight, but Franklin has been a great fighter in the UFC and won't go down easily.
