UFC 75 Odds

Written by Jimmy Boyd on August 18, 2007

The UFC 75 odds have been posted and it’s time to get excited for this event taking place on Saturday, September 8th, 2007 in London, England. The best part about this event is that the company is planning on playing it for free on Spike TV for the United States audience, so you don’t even have to order it via pay-per-view. If you have been interested in betting on the UFC then you should really take a look at Bodog. This is one of the top sportsbooks because they get so much public action that you can get some unique lines, making line shopping that much easier. If you open just one other sportsbook then you are going to be able to make a prediction, then look at the different odds and get the best number possible for the fighter you think is going to win. The other top book that we recommend is Sportsbook. These are the two biggest books online, so you know that your money will be safe and that you’ll get great customer service. The main event will be between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Dan Henderson. The fight is being billed as a title unification because Rampage is coming off his victory against the legendary Chuck Liddell which gave him the UFC’s light-heavyweight title and Dan Henderson is both the light-heavyweight and welterweight champion of PRIDE after knocking out Wanderlei Silva in his last contest. Henderson has had a great career and PRIDE has long been considered the dominant organization in the sport, but Rampage’s impressive victory over Liddell, his loyal American fan-base, and the fact that Henderson is a little light naturally in comparison have UFC odds makers listing Rampage as a slight favorite. Whoever wins you can expect this to be a great fight and one that you will not want to miss.

Another great fight will be between Michael Bisping, who will be fighting in his home country after winning the Ultimate Fighter 3 back in 2006, and Matt Hamill, who was one of Bisping’s rivals in that season of the Ultimate Fighter. You will also be able to see the heavyweight fight between Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic and Cheick Kongo. Cro Cop got worked over by Gabriel Gonzaga in his last fight so we want to see how he responds against another great fighter. Kongo did win back in April against Assuerio Silva, but lost last October when he took on Carmelo Marrero at UFC 64. He had been 2-0 in the UFC up to that point with wins at UFC 62 and 61. Cro Cop will get another shot at Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, a former PRIDE heavyweight champ who won his UFC debut against Heath Herring, if he can win this match. Cro Cop lost their first fight by submission to an arm bar back in 2004 while fighting in the PRIDE organization.

UFC 75 odds from Sportsbook:

Quinton Jackson -160
Dan Henderson +130

Mirko “Cro Cop” -325
Cheick Kongo +250

Michael Bisping -225
Matt Hamill +185
