UFC 91 Picks, Predictions, & Odds

Get ready UFC fans as the wait is nearly over for UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar, as this Saturday the fight will take place live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and it’s not the only fight on the card that should have fans at the edge of their seat. While many of you watching this fight know enough about these fighters to make your own opinions of who is going to win, but if you are one of those guys just trying to know what your talking about and maybe make some cash with some UFC betting on this pay-per-view, check out these UFC predictions for the main card this weekend.
Main Event: Randy Couture +110 over Brock Lesnar – It’s likely the UFC odds makers are going against Couture in this one because of his old age (45), but if you look back through the career of Couture this is a fighter that has been the underdog a number of times and came out victorious. Just to name a few there is Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Tim Sylvia, and Gabriel Gonzaga, all of which Couture came in a big underdog. Now the reason Lesnar gets the slight edge is this guy matches up great with Couture, as he takes away Couture’s great wrestling ability and likely has the edge in speed as well. We like Couture in this one, as he always seems to find a way to expose his opponents weaknesses, and with Lesnar only having 3 fights in his career in the MMA, we take the old man.
Kenny Florian -185 over Joe Stevenson – Florian has really came on strong and has really been a force since joining the UFC including being the winner of 5 straight, which is a task harder to accomplish than one might first think. Stevenson is definitely comes in this one with more experience, and is the younger of the two. Now Stevenson will win this fight if he uses his strength of getting his opponent to the floor and making him tap out. This fight is going to be another fun one to watch, as UFC really put together one great fight card.
Gabriel Gonzaga -350 over Josh Hendricks – Now Gonzaga might be a loser of 2 out of his last 3, but you would be wrong if you think this guy is going to lose this fight. Hendricks hasn’t even fought in the UFC before, and is going to come into the Grand and beat up on a guy like Gonzaga. Gonzaga’s two recent losses have come against Randy Couture and Fabricio Werdum, both excellent proven fighters in the UFC. This one will be entertaining for a short time, as we see Gonzaga putting a end to this one early.
Demian Maia -240 over Nate Quarry – Maia puts his perfect MMA record on the line and his unbeaten 3-0 start to the UFC, and we think this guy is the real deal, and will be a force in this business for the years to come. A win over Quarry who is 36 and a pretty proven fighter, really makes Maia a contender in the UFC. So far for Maia its been the same story each time he has went out, as Maia has used a choke submission to win all 3 of his fights.
Tamdan McCrory +150 over Dustin Hazelett – We like an upset to start the night and end the night, as we really think McCrory is going to prove to be the better fight in this one. McCrory is 11-1 as a MMA fighter, and has a couple wins in the UFC as well. It won’t be easy for McCrory, as Hazelett is a fighter that just doesn’t know how to give up, as he will fight as long as he possibly can before giving up. He has been knocked out before, actually earlier this year against Josh Koscheck, and we think McCrory lands the right punch and walks away with the win.
