Ultimate Fighter 5 Odds
If you have been watching Spike’s TV show then you might want to check out the Ultimate Fighter 5 odds and do some UFC betting on the event. The main event of the show’s finale will be between the coaches BJ Penn and Jens Pulver. Penn is a Hawaiian born mixed martial arts fighter who specializes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He was the first American-born winner oft he World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the black belt category in 2000. He is now 28 years old but has only fought in 14 MMA matches, winning 10, losing 4, with 1 draw. He has four wins via knockout and three by submission. The biggest win of Penn’s career came in 2004 at UFC 46 when he jumped up a weight class to fight five-time defending welterweight champion Matt Hughes. Hughes had already fought through most of the available competition, but lost the fight four minutes in the first round by a rear naked choke. Penn never defended his title because he left to sign with K-1. Penn’s return to the UFC came in 2006 when he lost the number one contender match to Georges St. Pierre in a close decision; however, St. Pierre was hurt in training for his fight with Hughes and Penn filled in. He controlled the fight into round three before hurting his ribs, allowing Hughes to take control and stop the match with punches. Jens Pulver has earned the nickname of Little Evil and currently stands at 21-7-1 with 13 knockouts and two submissions. His first loss in the UFC came in his last fight back in September of 2006 against Joe Lauzon due to punches. He had been fighting in other organizations, with two wins and two losses in PRIDE. Before leaving the UFC in January of 2002 his last fight was against BJ Penn, in which he won a split decision before giving up the UFC Lightweight title. With our MMA predictions we will take Penn in this one.
The other fights will be posted as the show winds down and odds will be posted on each fight for the title. The winner of the Ultimate Fighter gets a six-figure contract which breaks down to $36,000 guaranteed, but $12,000 for fight and $12,000 extra for a win. If a fighter goes 9-0 in three seasons then a guy has a chance to win $360,000 in all.
