Weather is a very big factor when trying to handicap a MLB game. Many amateur sports handicappers don’t really take it into account when deciding what to bet, but it can really help to improve your success rate. MLB may be the pro sport that is most affected by weather. Different types of weather related factors can help to influence a game and affect the performance of teams. This is why it’s important to keep up to date with the current weather. Also it is good to know which teams play best under certain conditions, and which teams play bad under certain conditions. 1. Temperature – Make sure that you know the temperature of each game before it begins and you bet it. Also, remember that warmer air is less dense than colder air. What does this mean? This means that the warmer the conditions are the further the ball is going to travel. A ball that would normally travel 300 feet at 75 degrees will travel much further at 95 degrees.
