There’s no time to waste for looking at the week 11
college football odds as action gets started early
this week on Tuesday and continues right on through the
weekend so you college football lovers better get jacked
for a huge week on the gridiron.
The big Michigan/Wisconsin battle goes down in the Big 10 this
week. Wisconsin is the only team standing in the way of Michigan getting a
chance to play Ohio State for the Big 10 Championship-something that did not
look likely after starting the year 0-2. It won’t be easy for the Wolves either.
Wisconsin is a perfect 6-0 at home this season. Most
online sportsbooks have the
13th ranked Wolverines listed as 2.5-point favorites on the road. Illinois is
the team standing in the way of Ohio State’s chances at a Big 10 title this
week. Oddsmakers have the Buckeyes handling the Illini rather easily based on
the 15-point margin they have set in favor of Ohio State. It looks like the Ohio
State/Michigan bad blood rivalry will decide the Big 10 again this season. It
just seems like that’s the way it should be every year.
Florida State heads to Virginia Tech for a big ACC matchup and USC/Cal should
provide some fireworks in the Pac-10.
One thing to keep in mind is how these final weeks can affect the Heisman race.
With Boston College going down to Florida State, QB Matt Ryan may have given up
his chances to win the prestigious award while Oregon’s Dennis Dixon raised his
stock by beating the undefeated Arizona State Sun Devils. Hawaii’s Colt Brennan
really isn’t on anyone’s radar right now, but if the Warriors win out, he could
solidify a trip to New York. Another sleeper is Michigan’s Mike Hart. A big game
at Ohio State to win a Big 10 title just might be what the voters want to see
before casting their votes.
